Yes these are the same deck. Not quite finished in the after image but what a transformation.
As you can see the old deck was quite a mess. There was a lot of work to get it fixed up but far less money that a complete rebuild.

This was a custom built redwood planter made from redwood sleepers.
The owner wanted to block the new house next door with something unique & be able to sit on it too.
It has a tanalised inner to protect the fence & help the redwood last for years.

These stairs we built to access the top of a steep incline on the clients section it really was steeper than what it looks in the image.
They had a 400mm tread & were 600mm wide.
The owner finished them off from here, filling them with fine stone which looked fantastic. Unfortunately I forgot to get a photo of the finished job.

As you can see the weatherboard is all repaired. There was more rot than is shown in the before image and this was fixed as well. 
As like a lot of jobs of this nature it was more work than anticipated (a lot more rot than first thought) but the client was happy with the finished result.

This deck was completely rebuilt with a similar but new design.
Safer driveway access & better privacy and door access too.

Came up looking pretty nice, don't you think?

We installed this new double glazed ranch slider or sliding door (checked by LBP), then we installed this ground level angled deck to gain access to the existing deck and lawn from the new door. We did all the work on the door, weather boards & the deck.
It did not require a permit as it fell within the existing window envelope (same size or smaller than the existing window lintel/beam).
